While all Club TNT members pledge to be drug, alcohol and tobacco free
and, if of school age, to remain enrolled and active in their
respective schools; some plan to continue their education after
graduating from high school. When is the best time to start planning
for college? ITS NEVER TOO SOON!
Check out our getting ready for college links.
TNT Collegian is designed to help students start thinking about and
planning the transition from high school to college. Our Academic
All-Stars links and the rest of the TNT Resources have been carefully
selected to provide a wide range of support for a variety of needs,
subject areas, and grade levels, including college. Of course, the
ideas and resources at TNT Collegian can also be helpful for high
school or even middle school students.
Nationwide, only about half of those that decide to go to college
actually earn degrees. On some campuses, it is not uncommon for half
the freshman class to not successfully complete their first year. It
doesn't need to be this way. Being ready for the different
expectations and demands of college is important.
Differences Between High School and College. For some, seeing and
accepting the differences between high school and college is the key.
Our education systems perform different roles at different levels.
